Easy, low cost DIY ideas for Halloween Costume
Let's face it, not everyone can afford to spend much money for elaborate Halloween costumes, especially if you live on a fixed income. Just can not make everybody spend a lot of time, either, especially without sewing skills. Would not it be nice if you could create your own costumes with little time or money invested? Now you can. In fact, there are numerous ideas, costumes that are created for virtually nothing. Better yet, there arelittle or no sewing involved. All you need is a little imagination and a little creativity, what most of us have hidden somewhere within us. And if for some reason you do not have, I am sure, do the children.
An interesting way to come with ideas for the costumes is to keep a trunk or box somewhere handy and fill it with other bodies. This can help spark the imagination. To open it with old clothes, cloth of different lengths, tights, fashionAccessories, artificial flowers, pipe cleaners and craft supplies, aluminum foil, yarn, old sheets or curtains, etc. Almost everything possible to be used. Instead of the traditional Halloween candy bags for you to use other items connected to your costume and stores it in the "fancy box. For example, you may, when implementing the elements and old purses, cushion covers, trash bags, baskets, medical kit, small backpacks, or even diaper bags.
Since my children were old enough to participate intrick-or-treating activities, I have their costumes. As soon as Halloween approaches, I begin to ask what would be. Then I found the nose house and our box of goodies, which I may already have on hand, so that a list of objects with which I need. In general, these few things can at the local thrift shop or dollar store to be bought, so it generally does not invest too much money into the project.
For reasons of security, I prefer to make-up or face paint, asMasks contrary. You can easily make your own out of food coloring and corn starch. This is not only safer than the use of masks, but it is also cheaper, easier to use and dissolves as easily with mild soap and water. A simple cream can create with a portion of the corn starch and two parts food coloring be present in the desired color for your clothes. Apply to face with his fingers as the foundation. And with a few drops of red food coloring and a little corn syrup, you need homemade bloodfor this ghoulish costumes.
One year my daughter went as a witch. It is not as difficult as you might think, in order to also find creative ways of implementing this outfit together. In fact, they can as easy or hard as you can handle. For the ensemble had a witch, I just used a torn black dress and a witch, my daughter has already. I mixed some green face paint and has a wart eyeliner with a pencil. To have her hair, I made some fiery, orange-red thread attached to that I am the hatwith Velcro. Add a small broom and let's go.
Another year, she was a butterfly. The butterfly was jointly cut by a pair of wings made of cardboard few I fashioned decorated with multi-colored pieces of felt (you can even aluminum foil and decorate with sequins, glitter, etc.). The body of the butterfly consists of nothing more than a black tracksuit, but a dark shirt would work just as well. Wings can be attached in any way that is easiest for you. They can be sewn on the back of the sweater or fitted with rubber bands around the arms of the child attached. You could also try to Velcro for filzbezogenen wing. This applies not only sticks to the felt, but the shirt too. Add an antenna headband and, if desired, some face paint. The headband can either be purchased from the dollar store for a few dollars or even fastened together with a common black headband with black pipe cleaners.
I took my son into a livingjack-in-the-box one years. This idea resulted from my own childhood memories. My mother used to grow up a large part of our costumes. Aluminum foil so incredible a tiara, a wand, or antennas. Lacy curtains would suddenly flowing robes. Their creativity was amazing, and a costume in particular stood out above all others, a kitchen table. She had a simple box, cut a hole in the ground and put it right over my head. After covering a tablecloth on theBox was placed at the heart of my head sticking out carefully with a "hat" of a pair of tights and artificial flowers.
And from this kitchen table costume, was born in another, the Jack-in-the-box. It uses the same "box" concept and originality. I just took a box set up, and fastened it can (to my son with elastic suspenders as well). On one side of the box I fashioned touch. He wore a dark tracksuit bottoms and a regular long-sleeved shirt that I attachedFrills on. I painted his face to mimic that a wild card.
Decided a few years ago, my children, that she wanted to match their costumes. We looked around the house and soon we found ourselves with a cowboy and Indians. For the Cowboys, pulled my son is a cowboy hat and boots, a western shirt, blue jeans and a denim jacket. All that we already had. To the look, accessorize, I tied (loosely) a red scarf around his neck and fastened the holster (complete with toy guns), at itsWaist. Once again, these items, we were already on hand.
My daughter, of course, was the Indians. Her costume was also something that we're around. I have an old brown pillow case and cut a V-neck hole in the ground, which was big enough for my daughter's head to fit through. I then cut two more holes in each side for the arms. I hand-stitched designs for both the cut and bottom of the 'dress' and with a scissors, I carefully cut slits along the edgesTo give him one look frills. If you do not sew, that's okay, you can easily use fabric paint to decorate the dress instead. To set the clothes, my daughter wore braided pigtails with a soft headband around his forehead. The only point that I had bought for a couple moccasin slippers from the dollar store. To keep all of their candy, my son was wearing a pillowcase "loot bag", while my daughter lay an old crop with an orange cloth lined.
Always had the opportunity to dressing upto work with the original of the first prize? This worked for me. Again, I borrowed the idea from my mother, making it my own twist a tomato plant. For this costume I wore a dark green shirt with a green hose and slippers. I cut a dark skirt and a green table simply holes allow me to slip it through both over my head and my arms. I put a few green leaves on the artificial jersey and table skirt with small tomatoes from Styrofoam balls that have been madepainted red and topped off with green stems (you can also Tomato) found pincushion in craft stores. I finished it with a Green Beret, full of leaves. By the way, I accepted the award.
I have found to be quite useful balloons, for costumes, but they should be consistent with those of older children or adults will only be used. Once again, safety is important and balloons tend to easily try and pop small children accidentally eat the balloon pieces. Balloons are inexpensive and come in a wideVariety of shapes, colors and sizes. You can create one-of-a-kind costumes with little work involved. Imagine a bunch of grapes (such as the Fruit-of-the-Loom). Choose a purple tracksuit or leotard and put purple balloons gently with small safety pins. Add some ivy vines and top it with a matching hat full of ivy leaves. This could also apply to other berries and sweats with matching colored balloons and used. For example, you could try raspberries, strawberries orBlackberries.
Then again, why not go out, as Mr. Bubble? Wear white and use some white balloons to immediately soapy water. Accessorize with a brush and a hat or a bag of bathroom materials are like sponges and empty shampoo, bubble bath, soap, and containers. When you apply for all balloon costume, but do not try to put all on the back. This could make it difficult to sit down.
Other interesting costume ideas could also be a scarecrow with denim overalls, aPlaid or flannel shirt, rope or cord for belt, a straw hat, gloves and boots. Stuff pockets with straw. Turn an old sheet into a ghost town. Create a hobo from some old clothes and add a hat. Paint the face with a five fashion shades and an old handkerchief to a stick. What's in the autumn without leaves? Use a dark track suit (with hood) and pin silk leaves all over it. Walk with a rake and a leaf bag to collect candy.
Remember, a little imagination can go a longWay, and best of all, free to use.
